Photographer, writer, van resident, Fujifilm user, and collector of situations that look minor in a caption and complicated in real life. Field Notes West is built around that contradiction.
I live in a van with my partner and our Pomeranian, working mostly across the Southwest. The publication sits somewhere between editorial magazine, subscriber notebook, and storefront for the useful side products that grow out of real travel photography work: presets, notes, workflow tools, route guides, and zines.
The camera setup is almost always Fujifilm because it gets out of the way quickly and keeps the files believable. Street photography, roadside portraiture, parked-over-night logistics, and slow documentary notes are the center of the work.
